SCT Logistics is a family owned and operated company that is now generally regarded as Australia's most innovative multi modal transport operator.
In the process, they have become Australia's largest private rail freight operator with world class rail terminals in Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide and Parkes NSW with more to come on the drawing board.
SCT chose Channel 1 to produce their first corporate DVD back in 2005 and have enlisted our services for a number of projects since.
This year has seen a major achievement in the company's short but super impressive history. The first of 27 (12 fully refurbished and 15 brand new state-of-the-art locomotives) company owned and operated locomotives come off the line.
These locomotives will be used to pull the 700 or so SCT rail freight vans around Australia.
Being fanatical Essendon supporters, the Smith family decided to name the very first locomotive off the line after the irrepressible Essendon Coach; Kevin Sheedy.
The Kevin Sheedy Express was launched on the 20th July 2007 and SCT approached Channel 1 to produce a 3 to 4 minute video showing the refurbishment of the locomotive and drawing parallels between the amazing success story that is SCT and the magnificent career of Kevin Sheedy.
The parallels between Sheedy and SCT were easy to find:Innovation, All Australian, Thinking - outside the square, Fantastic reputation, Leadership Unsurpassed records.
Whilst the parallels between SCT and AFL football on reflection also became quite apparent: Speed, Agility, Delivery, Skill, Energy and Power.
It was decided that we would produce a video simply to music with some appropriate footage and screen graphics featuring the above parallels to help tell the story.
The result was a highly motivating clip that was enjoyed by the 100 or so VIPs that helped SCT launch the first of their company owned locomotives... The Kevin Sheedy Express.
