Our clients are often flabbergasted when they add up the resources they currently spend inducting new staff into their businesses.
Generally speaking,
induction videos won't cut out 100% of your current induction costs, but can typically reduce this expenditure by up to 50%.
Do the sums and you might soon see how other organisations are saving $$$.
Plus you have the benefit of the material being presented EXACTLY the same way over and over again...
Here are some organisation we've proudly produced induction videos for:
 |
Nestle Australia
Everyone needs to be inducted before entering a Nestle facility. We economically produced a similar, but separate video for contractors as well. We're very proud to be Nestle Australia's video producer of choice. |
|
 |
Department of Infrastucture
After choosing Channel 1 from a field of producers, we economically produced an Induction Video, a promotional video for the Director, a Taxi Driver Induction plus a hilarious Christmas "bloopers" take (we're still sorry for stitching you up Brad - they made us do it!!) |
|
 |
Godfrey Hirst
Well known carpet manufacturer is very safety focussed. Their custom made induction video reflects these values for all new staff... |
|
 |
RACV
"You have done a superb job and we got huge value for money.". |
|
 |
Boral
We produced this induction video for Boral in the 90s for their Clay Bricks division - and it's still got legs today! |
|
 |
Salvation Army
This charity was allocating far too many resources for incomplete and sometimes ineffective inductions. Then they appointed Channel 1 to get to work. |
| |
 |
Apex Fenner
Their induction video included a personal address & voice-over from Managing Director Mr David Landgren. |
|
 |
Australian Customer Service Institute
Exactly what services would be valuable to prospective members? |
| |
 |
Ridley Argiproducts
Their video production covered everything from sexual harassment policy to how to apply for annual leave - and everything in between. |
|
 |
ALH
As well as producing a "pub grub" safety video on food handling, we cost effectively produced an induction video to go hand in hand. |
| |
 |
Murray Goulburn Water
Inducting new people to a massive dam known as Dartmouth was made easy with a Channel 1 induction video. |

We first met Kay Forster & Maria Blassis of ARC when we were at their Burnside Village in September 2006 filming for another of our wonderful clients, Cambridge Integrated Services.
Although we were only there filming for a few hours, we had time to quickly chat with Kay and Maria about their induction processes and how video could potentially save them oodles of time and resources.
Whooooaaaaa.
It was soon clear that this was a perfect example of how investing in an induction video would pay for itself over and over.
Multiple locations spread geographically
Typical induction requirements at each facility
Lots of common material for each site
Reference made to internal quality documentation (referenced in the video)
Substantial reduction of time to present overall induction to new employees.
The resulting main video plus various short safety and procedural modules (still in production) is estimated to reduce the inductions from 1.5 hours to less than 40 minutes in total.
The estimated savings therefore can be calculated taking into account:
1 hour is shaved off the previous 4 hour induction process.
The average hourly rate of trainers + attendees is saved and this time is freed up for day to day business activity.
Annual Saving in productivity based on current levels of induction training is estimated at approximately $8,500.
A video will generally last about 5 years and guarantee that continuity of message that whole time...
