One of the great things about this time of year, is it can provide us with a sense of renewed optimism for a brand new year that lies ahead. Last year may have thrown a few unexpected curveballs. Deadlines or certain targets may not have been met. Key relationships with colleagues could have been strained. On a personal level, you may have been unsuccessful at saving money or keeping fit. On the other hand it may have been the best year ever.

Whatever may have occurred the year prior, whether it’s on a professional or personal level, positive or negative, the start of a new year allows us to create a fresh start. At Channel 1, we had a fantastic year, and one of the highlights of 2010 was our production of the series Motivation Drive, which appears to have filled some holes in the marketplace with its powerful, yet simple messages. One of the titles from the series that springs to mind when thinking about new opportunities and this time of year is “The Road Ahead”. So when charged with the responsibility of writing something fitting for my first post of the year, I looked no further than this particular title. web server . These are the words I found…

“… No matter where you are standing right now, no matter what Road Aheadhappened yesterday the same rule applies to all of us. Each and every one of us can be a success or a failure just one day at a time. And that rule gives us hope. You could have the worst possible day today and it doesn’t matter because tomorrow is a brand new beginning with brand new opportunities. The only reason to ever look back is to learn by your mistakes and your successes. At the end of each day, you should play back that day’s performance in your mind. Either way you win. A day of failure will drive you for a better effort the next day and a successful day should inspire you for a repeat performance…”

These words inspired me, I hope they do the same for you. I guess if we have enough successful days this coming year, then the outlook for 2011 will be a bright one. service cloud I’d like to leave you with this quote…

“Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending” Carl Bard.

Good luck!
